Celebrating Yalari's work in educating and empowering Indigenous children

We have been a proud supporter of Yalari since the beginning, and are always honoured when invited to attend their annual gala dinner. To celebrate their work in educating and empowering Indigenous children, and recognise the part we played in making this happen alongside our team, is truly an impactful experience.
This month, we attended the Yalari Gala Dinner in Sydney alongside Yalari students, alumni, their families and their supporters. Yalari envisions a future where Indigenous people can do and be anything they want to be, and we're proud to be alongside them in this journey.
Attending my first Yalari Gala in 2024 was an inspiring experience. It highlighted the incredible achievements of Yalari students and alumni, celebrated the supportive community behind them, and raised funds to support future students in the Yalari program.

Highlights of the evening included Cameron and Kymarni acknowledging country with respect and reverence, Rita stealing our hearts and transporting us to her island home, and students from Abbotsleigh performing a dance with the grace and knowledge from another time.
Congratulations to the Student Achievement Award winners Tarniesha Oscar, Kailani Bartlett, Chris Swan and Chloe Nicholls, and to all the students and alumni pursuing their hopes and dreams for a better future.
It was an honour to attend the gala and learn about such a meaningful cause that our work at Humanitix supports. I was struck by Yalari's generational impact, and it was inspiring hearing the current Yalari scholarship students describe their future ambition. I left feeling more connected to why we do what we do, and now proudly display at home a beautiful handmade wax lantern from the Yalari charity auction to serve as a reminder every day.
