What if profit could be a force for good?
Aug 20th 2026
Modern capitalism has produced extraordinary things. Longer lives, fewer hungry people, greater access to knowledge and the rise of digital technology. But it has also concentrated enormous amounts of wealth in the hands of a few while hundreds of millions of people still lack access to basic human needs.
The usual response is to argue about whether the system itself is the problem. We'd offer a different question. What if the solution isn't to dismantle the machine, but to disrupt it?

Profit for Good?
Take booking fees. Every ticket sold carries a small booking fee. Nobody loves them, and for decades those booking fees have quietly made shareholders wealthier. Our co-founders Josh and Adam saw an opportunity: something already running at scale, waiting to do better.
This gave rise to Humanitix, a ticketing platform that dedicates 100% of the profits from booking fees to charity, funding everything from: education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, life's basic necessities and more. Same tickets, often a smaller booking fee, with a completely different destination.
Now multiply it. How many industries have a fee like ours sitting inside them, or an opportunity for disruption and reimagination, lying unexamined, funding nothing but the lining of shareholders’ pockets? In those overlooked corners, what if the decision makers decided to redirect profits for good? You don't need to rewrite the rules of business. You just need to rewrite what (or who) the business is ultimately for.

That's why we've joined Profit for Good.
Profit for Good is a global alliance built on a set of beliefs we recognised instantly, because they describe how we already operate:
That profit is a powerful tool that should improve the world.
That moral ambition belongs at the heart of entrepreneurship, and real success is measured by a company's contribution to global wellbeing, not just investor returns.
That effectiveness matters, because money directed to evidence-based work does far more good.
That governance matters, because commitments only hold when they're locked into ownership.
And that purposeful companies can outperform their peers by earning genuine trust from customers, employees and partners.
We didn't adopt those principles. We were built on them.
You have to be the change you want to see. We believe Humanitix can be a vehicle to improve the world through compassionate capitalism, and we're glad to be building that case alongside others who believe it too, which is why we are a member of Profit for Good.
