Humble Brag: specialty coffee that donates 50% of its profits
Feb 19th 2025
At Humanitix, we believe in the power of business to create a better world. Just as social impact is weaved into our platform with every ticket helping fund our partner charities, we also believe in weaving impact into as many aspects of our business as we can. And is there anything more important in fuelling a successful business than COFFEE?!
Spotlight on Humble Brag, a fellow social enterprise
Humble Brag is not your average coffee brand. They source and roast the highest quality ethical coffee and donate 50% of their profits to fund Indigenous youth and international aid programs. How's that for your cup of joe? ☕💖 We'll take any excuse to drink more coffee, that's for sure...
What we look like after our first cup of coffee in the morning ☕
Not only that, the beans are roasted in partnership with industry-leading coffee roasters Five Senses which are carbon neutral and B-Corp certified. Where have you BEAN all our lives?!
One of the things we love about Humble Brag is that their coffee prices are competitive with coffee roasters of the same quality. It means that there's the added benefit of the social good, at no extra cost! It's a win-win for all.
A cup of coffee = a cup of impact
50% of Humble Brag's profits fund the award-winning social enterprise Co-Ground, which runs local and global projects that improve access to education, employment, health and sanitation.
Indigenous young people
In the Northern Territory, Co-Ground funds programs designed for, and by, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, organisations and individuals. These programs create a space for connection, culture, confidence, skills and leadership development, and address specific local needs.
International Aid
Over the past decade, Co-Ground’s community-led programs in Vanuatu and the Philippines have improved access to water, education, health and sanitation. What does this look like? Local infrastructure projects, the construction of new school library and classroom buildings, community toilets and freshwater systems, to name a few. Cyclone and natural disaster response, relief and recovery have also been a consistent need due to the increasing impacts of climate change in the region.
The team behind Humble Brag
Humble Brag may be the newest social enterprise kid on the block, but the team behind it have decades of experience in specialty coffee and social enterprise. Andrew Mellody and Cameron Hammond have operated multiple cafes, corporate hospitality, event and catering services. They are also in charge of Co-Ground, establishing and growing it successfully since 2015. They're not the ones to brag though. 😏
Their work is a testament to the idea that companies can be both successful and deeply purpose-driven. We love to see it!
