Role: Customer Success Specialist
Tenure: 2 years
Location: Denver, Colorado
If you ever hear someone belting out a musical theater tune in the middle of the workday in the Denver office, don’t panic; it's probably just Sally.
As one of our incredible Customer Success Specialists, Sally has spent the last two years proving that you can absolutely "lead with love" while simultaneously ensuring a seamless ticketing experience and guiding hosts to success.
We sat down with Sally to chat about her full-circle journey, international craft exchanges, and why keeping things just a little bit weird is the ultimate workplace superpower. 👇

What led you to join Humanitix?
I was a marketing manager at a ballet company in Denver that used Humanitix for ticketing, and right away I was impressed. I’d hosted events on four other platforms before, so I’d seen my fair share of clunky systems and missed opportunities. But Humanitix? It was different.
Then I learned about the mission and I was honestly blown away. My mentor once told me to lead with love, and that’s exactly what I felt Humanitix was doing. It’s compassionate capitalism at its finest, and I thought, yep, this is my kind of company.

What has been a particular highlight of your Humanitix journey so far?
It’s been a pretty cool ride. I actually started out as a sales development rep, and eventually found my way over to the onboarding and customer support team.
There’s something incredibly meaningful about that full-circle moment. I used to be the one reaching out to hosts; now, I’m the one guiding these creative people through their onboarding and supporting them through the transition. It’s not just helping them use a tool, it’s helping real people do amazing things with it.

Which Humanitix value resonates the most with you?
‘Keep it weird’, 100%. I’ve never been at a job where I get to show up so fully and unapologetically as myself. From Cryday Friday to letting me randomly belt out musical theater in the middle of the workday, Humanitix creates space for people to be real, expressive, and a little weird in the best way. That kind of authenticity isn’t just allowed here, it’s celebrated.

What's your favorite 'real-world impact' story from your time here?
I remember sitting in on a demo with an event host I had originally reached out to. My teammate was walking them through our accessibility features, and the host paused and said: “We’re always the ones advocating for this, always the ones trying to open people’s eyes — and today, I feel like I actually learned something from you.”
That moment stuck with me. What we do isn’t just tech, it’s about creating real change.
What's something that might surprise people about working at Humanitix?
Honestly, how much the platform truly is for the people. We don’t just say it, we really take customer ideas and feedback to heart. It’s so cool to see those suggestions actually show up in the newest product releases. Knowing that what our hosts and users say directly shapes what we build is such an incredible and rewarding feeling.

What is your favorite part of the job?
It’s hands down the people. It’s the hosts, the ticket buyers, and teammates who’ve become friends I never expected to have, especially in countries I’ve never even been to. I even got to do a craft exchange with a friend I met through Humanitix in New Zealand. It’s a rare kind of community, and it makes showing up to work feel genuinely meaningful.
