How to promote your events on Google!

Sep 3rd 2026

An graphic advertisement promoting Humanitix, featuring the text "Your events found on Google" alongside a Google search result listing Humanitix as an official seller.

Event discovery doesn't happen in one place. Some people browse the Humanitix marketplace, some ask a mate, and a lot search "whats on this weekend" in Google. That last one just got a lot better at surfacing your event.

Humanitix has integrated with Google's events ticketing feature and achieved Official Seller status.🎉 That means eligible Humanitix event listings can now appear with rich event details, at no extra cost to you and no additional setup.

‘Official Seller status’ means Google recognises Humanitix as a verified ticketing partner. It makes it easier for buyers to find legitimate events rather than guessing which listing to trust.

What this means for your events

Eligible listings now have the opportunity to appear with key details across three surfaces:

🌟 Google's events booking module. Your full event details, displayed directly in the search result.

🌟 The interactive events carousel. The scrollable row of events that appears when someone browses for things to do in their area.

🌟 Google's AI experiences. Your event can also appear through AI Overviews and AI Mode, Google's generative search features for planning and researching.

Tickets for good

More visibility for your event isn't only good for your ticket sales. Humanitix is a not-for-profit ticketing platform and a registered charity. We dedicate 100% of booking fee profits to high-impact charities working to end extreme poverty and support children's education, healthcare and access to life's basic necessities. To date, we've directed more than $20 million AUD to charity.

How it works

There's nothing to enable. Here's how it plays out:

  1. You publish a public event. Private and draft events aren't indexed, so this is the only real requirement.
  2. Google indexes your event page. Indexing can take 24 to 72 hours.
  3. Google can then show your event within its events ticketing feature. That might look like someone searching for a particular artist's events, a specific search term, a location-based search, or someone browsing "things to do" in their area.

Giving your listing the best shot

The algorithm is Google's. The event listing is yours.

Google decides what to show and when, and that isn't a lever you can control. What you can do is hand it a clean, complete listing to work from:

✅ a public event

✅ a specific venue or address

✅ your musical acts tagged through the Humanitix music integration, and

✅ a fully fleshed-out event description.

Most hosts are already doing this for their own event page. It just counts for more now, because it also shapes whether Google puts your event in front of more people through the new integration.
