Host with the Most: Generous Plates & Generous Impact!
3rd Mar 2025
At Humanitix, we love spotlighting event hosts who bring people together for unforgettable experiences — especially when those experiences make a difference. This time, we’re featuring Masters of Taste, who are putting on a one-night-only dining experience with 100% impact: Generous Plates.
Who are Masters of Taste?
Masters of Taste is LA's premier food and beverage festival on the field of the Rose Bowl. Usually an annual event, Masters of Taste is postponed this year as they continue to help their community rebuild after the Eaton fires.
Over the last 7 years, Masters of Taste raised over $3 million to benefit Union Station Homeless Services in Pasadena. 100% of the proceeds from their events are used to end homelessness through providing housing solutions, supportive services, and connection to the community.
A Feast for the Senses — and the Soul
While the festival won't go ahead this year, Masters of Taste has introduced a unique event that brings the same spirit of culinary excellence and community into one special evening.
Generous Plates is an intimate and immersive experience curated by some of LA's most talented, talked-about, and big-hearted chefs and beverage experts. Over 25 of LA's top restaurants, bakeries, breweries and vineyards are banding together to support the community that has been ravaged by the recent wildfires.
The night will begin with a lively cocktail reception, followed by a seated 5-course tasting menu from the city's finest restaurants, chefs, and brands. You can choose from two distinct dining experiences, each featuring a unique lineup of chefs, flavors, and beverage pairings. No matter which experience you select, you’ll be treated to an unforgettable evening of fine dining and philanthropy.
And what good evening ends without dessert? The night will be capped off with a grand dessert bar in the courtyard featuring sweet treats, confections and drinks crafted by local bakeries, cakeries and cafes.
Housing & Services for Eaton Fire Victims
100% of event proceeds from Generous Plates support Union Station Homeless Services. USHS has served the San Gabriel Valley and beyond for over 50 years and is the lead homeless services provider for SPA 3, as designated by Los Angeles County.
In addition to its ongoing housing and homeless prevention work, USHS is providing housing and services for residents who have been directly impacted by the Eaton fire.
Masters of Taste & Humanitix: A Perfect Pairing
Masters of Taste is renowned for bringing together top chefs, artisans, and food enthusiasts to create remarkable dining experiences. By partnering with Humanitix, they are ensuring that generosity extends beyond the plate, using not just their event proceeds, but ticketing fees, to drive social impact. Both organizations share a deep commitment to making the world a better place for all.
Generous Plates is a powerful example of how hospitality and purpose can intersect. Here, every dish is a reminder that food is more than sustenance — it’s a means to uplift, nourish, and transform lives.
This is the heart of what Humanitix stands for — transforming everyday moments into opportunities to uplift communities. As guests enjoy each carefully crafted dish, they become part of a larger movement — one that turns an experience of fine food into a force for good.
If you happen to be in town in April and want to join the generosity train, there are limited tickets available here. Cheers to great food, great company, and great causes! 🥂 🍽️✨
