How our booking fees are changing.

13th Jul 2026

An empty auditorium or theater with rows of red seats sloping upward from a light-colored wooden stage. Overhead studio lights hang from the ceiling. The Humanitix logo is centered at the top. Bold text in the center reads "WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT" in white and "BOOKING FEES." in light pink, with a bright green hand-drawn style arrow pointing at the text from the left.

We regret to inform you that, due to the rising costs of operating a sustainable business,… GOTCHA!

You were braced for bad news, just another addition to the pile of cost increases littering your inbox. Cost-of-living pressures are squeezing every business, and most of them are passing that squeeze straight onto you.

So here's our promise to you.

Effective 1 July 2026, Humanitix's booking fees are staying exactly the same. In fact, we haven't raised them in 10 years.

No sneaky percentage bump, no new "service charge" quietly added at checkout, no fine print.

Why we're not doing what everyone else is doing

Most ticketing platforms are for-profit, which means they answer to shareholders. When costs rise, that pressure tends to fall on event hosts and ticket buyers.

Humanitix is built differently. We're a non profit and a for-purpose platform, which means we answer to the same people who use it: the hosts running events and the people buying tickets. That structure gives us more room to hold our fees steady, even when costs elsewhere are climbing.

A close-up of an enthusiastic group of friends at a music festival, leaning against a metal crowd control barricade. Two women in the front row smile broadly while making heart shapes with their hands. They are dressed in festive attire, including heart-shaped sunglasses, body glitter, arm tattoos, and colorful bracelets. Behind them, a man in a heart-patterned bandana and round sunglasses throws up a peace sign alongside other smiling festival-goers under bright stage lighting.

Events are for everyone

That's really the headline here. Not "fees aren't changing," but why access to events matters in the first place.

Live music, theatre, festivals, community fundraisers: these things shouldn't be reserved for people who can absorb the rising costs. Every dollar added to a ticket price is a decision about who gets to walk through the door and who gets priced out.

Keeping our fees low is about keeping events within reach for as many people as possible.

The children are dressed in uniforms consisting of long-sleeved white shirts and black bow ties. A young East Asian girl stands prominently in the center foreground, looking up with a slight smile while singing alongside the other children.

A discount for doing good

We believe the organisations doing the most good in the world shouldn't be held back by the high costs of traditional ticketing platforms. That's why we offer a discounted not-for-profit rate for schools and charity hosts, giving them access to a world-class platform to put on a world-class event.

A low-angle classroom scene looking over the shoulders of young students in blue uniforms sitting at their desks, which are covered in open books. At the front of the room, a female teacher wearing glasses holds up an illustrated book to read to the class. Behind her is a large blackboard with text written in Devanagari script, topped by a colorful hand-painted rainbow decoration on the light green wall.

100% of profits to charity

100% of Humanitix's booking fee profits are dedicated towards charity. Not "a portion of proceeds." All of it!

Our booking fees work towards ending extreme poverty, funding meals, healthcare, education, and life's basic necessities for the people who need it most.

Using Humanitix does more than get you through the door. It opens one up for someone else.
